NUR 4800 - Introduction to Basic Health Assessment and Physical Examination of the Adult 3 Credit(s) Hours: 4 hrs.
Introduction to the basic knowledge and skills required to perform a comprehensive health assessment of an adult. The compilation of a health history, interview techniques and a regional approach to the physical examination of the adult will be introduced and practiced. A synthesis of the physical, psychosocial, developmental and cultural assessments will prepare students to develop a holistic statement of the health status of an adult individual. Prerequisite(s): NUR 1800
