The Library is the major learning resource facility at the college. We provide students and faculty with a rich variety of materials to support the curriculum, to meet information needs, and to satisfy interests and academic curiosity. The library also assists in study, in research, and in cultural development.
The library offers a number of services to students and faculty. We offer tailored information literacy sessions for all courses in order to teach students how best to use the available print and online research tools. We also offer one-on-one research assistance at the reference desk during all operating hours, both in-person and online. The library also has a live chat service to communicate directly with librarians.
The library’s high-quality collection include:
- 176,000 carefully selected reference and circulating books in print
- 400,000 eBooks
- 180,000 online periodicals from 200-plus online databases
- 5,000 print textbooks and more than 100 eTextbooks
- 4,000 print journals
- Hundreds of DVDs and streaming videos

Students and faculty can access our materials via OneSearch, the library catalog. With OneSearch, you can look up textbooks for your courses, books, videos, or journal articles for your research. You can sign in to access your library account, renew materials, use electronic collections from off-campus, or request books from other CUNY of SUNY (State University of New York) libraries. Tutorials for using OneSearch are available on our library website. You can also find other resources including academic journals and databases, reserve a study room, find research guides and more via the library’s website: https://library.kbcc.cuny.edu/homepage.
Students and faculty can also access materials not available at Kingsborough or any other library in the CUNY/SUNY library network through our interlibrary-loan service. For further information, visit https://kbcc-cuny.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/logon.html.
