MT 5700 - Vessel Systems, Theory, Maintenance and Troubleshooting 3 Credit(s) Hours: 4 hrs. (2 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. laboratory)
Builds upon knowledge of the following systems: domestic water and sanitation plumbing, engine cooling systems, fuel systems tanks, delivery and external filtering systems, AC power generators and distribution, steering systems, and advanced data and power distribution networks, including NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, and CAN Bus networks. Emphasis will be placed on troubleshooting and repair of each system. Students will use Microsoft Visio® software to document vessel systems for service purposes. Prerequisite(s): MT 5300 and MT 5400 Department: Tourism and Hospitality
